According to Microsoft’s LightSwitch website, the company plans to release Visual Studio LightSwitch 2011 (codenamed “KittyHawk”) to MSDN subscribers on July 26, with general availability on July 28. With LightSwitch, users will be able to create business applications for the desktop, the Web or the cloud without needing any programming expertise.
The first beta for the tool was released in August 2010, and the second beta arrived in March 2011.
