Microsoft and SAP are going to be working together more closely than ever in the cloud. The two enterprise software giants announced that SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud will be available on Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing service. In addition, Microsoft will use SAP S/4 HANA on Azure (linked to its Azure AI and analytics services) for its own internal financial management, and SAP will move some of its internal applications, including Concur, to Azure. They plan to document those experiences as a way to market both companies’ cloud services to customers.

“Building on our longtime partnership, Microsoft and SAP are harnessing each other’s products to not only power our own organizations, but to empower our enterprise customers to run their most mission-critical applications and workloads with SAP S/4HANA on Azure,” stated Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft.
