Microsoft Open Sources Original File Manager

In yet another sign of its new-found commitment to open source principles, Microsoft has released the source code for its original Windows File Manager. The move is more of an appeal to those nostalgic for the 90s than anything else, but the open source code does compile and run in Windows 10. That’s amazing considering that the file manager was originally part of Windows 3.0 and is 28 years old.

The source code is available on GitHub.
