Microsoft has launched a free version of Teams, its chat-based collaboration platform that rivals Slack. “Beginning today, Teams is available in a free version worldwide in 40 languages,” blogged corporate vice president Ron Markezich. “Whether you’re a freelancer, a small business owner, or part of a team inside a large organization, you can start using Teams today.”
The free version includes support for up to 300 users, as well as unlimited chat, search, group and individual calling, and cloud storage.
At the same time, Microsoft also unveiled new capabilities for Microsoft 365 and a Microsoft Whiteboard app.
