Microsoft Improves Internet Explorer’s Development Features

As part of this month’s Patch Tuesday release, Microsoft pushed out a host of updates for the F12 developer tools in Internet Explorer. A blog post explained, “The user interface, console, DOM explorer, debugger, emulation tool, UI responsiveness and memory profiling tools all have new features and bug fixes.”

Many of the updates, including the UI Responsiveness changes, should help speed up the Web development process. In addition, the UI Responsiveness tool has new “small but powerful” filtering capabilities that could simplify troubleshooting.
