Recently, the large cloud computing vendors have been busily cutting prices, but in a surprising move, Microsoft has decided to do away with one of its discount plans. Specifically, its six- and twelve-month subscription plans, which offered discounts of 20 to 32 percent, stopped accepting new customers on July 16.
Microsoft did not announce the change. A spokesperson said the company has “nothing to share at this time” but may have more to say in a month.
