Microsoft has made several announcements related to its annual conferences. First, the company scheduled its Build 2017 event for developers May 10-12 in Seattle. The location marks a change from the past several years when Microsoft held the development conference in San Francisco.
In addition, Microsoft said it is renaming its Worldwide Partner Conference as Microsoft Inspire. Next year, Inspire will take place July 9-13 in Washington, D.C.
Third, the company plans to do away with its Envision conference and include the subject matter that would have been covered at that event at its Ignite conference in the fall. It will hold Ignite Sept. 25-29 in Orlando, Fla.
