Microsoft BUILD Event Heads to Apple’s Turf

For years, Apple has held its annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Now, Microsoft says it will bring its developer event—the BUILD Conference—to the same venue. In fact, the two conferences are expected to be held just a couple of weeks apart.

Microsoft has announced that BUILD will take place June 26-28. It will focus on Windows 8, but will also include sessions about Internet Explorer, Office 365, Windows Phone and the Azure cloud computing platform. Registration will cost $1,595 for the first 500 attendees and $2,095 for all others.

Apple has yet to announce dates for this year’s WWDC, but it will likely be held earlier in June.
