The open source mobile operating system has announced “Day 1” of the MeeGo handset user experience project.
The core MeeGo with the netbook user experience was released in May, but version 1.0 didn’t include the handset user experience.
Now MeeGo is a complete mobile operating system.
“This milestone marks the completion of the merger of Moblin and Maemo as major architecture decisions and technical selection have been determined,” according to yesterday’s announcement.
The target release date for MeeGo 1.1 is October.
