On Tuesday, Facebook CEO will address more than 5,000 developers at F8, his company’s annual developer conference. The event seems more significant than in the past because of the pressure the social network is facing in the wake of the recent Cambridge Analytica data-sharing scandal.
Many Facebook developers have been expressing frustration and anger. “You’ve killed this platform,” one posted on the Facebook developer forum. Others describe the mood among developers as “anxious,” and analysts say developers will be looking for reassurance from Zuckerberg as the CEO works to regain their trust.
Facebook will livestream the keynote, which begins at 10 am in San Francisco/1 pm on the East Coast.
