On Thursday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg surprised attendees at the Parse Development Conference by popping in and delivering a speech. Facebook acquired Parse, a backend-as-a-service company, earlier this year, but Zuckerberg’s appearance had not been announced.
He told the crowd, “At Facebook, what we’re trying to do is build tools that help you do two things: build and grow your apps.” He also said that he wished Parse had been around back when he was first building Facebook.
