Majority of Android Devs Have 100+ Apps

A new report from app ratings and discovery company Mobilewalla points out some differences between iOS and Android developers. They found that 53 percent of the apps in the Android Market were contributed by developers with more than 100 apps. By contrast, only 23 percent of apps in the App Store were created by developers with more than 100 apps.

In addition, Android devs update their apps more often—an average of .8 times per app, which compares to .3 times per app for iOS. “The only way we can explain that is Android developers are just doing more,” said Mobilewalla’s founder and executive chairman Anindya Datta.
