The Linux Foundation has announced its lineup of keynote speakers, presenters and panelists for this year’s LinuxCon.

The scheduled keynote speakers include Jeffrey Hammond from Forrester Research, Director of the Software Freedom Law Center Eben Moglen, the GNOME project’s Stormy Peters and Virgin America’s Vice President and Chief Information Officer Ravi Simhambhatia.

The calendar is packed with presentations about patents, security, cloud computing and pretty much anything related to open source and Linux.

Some of the presentations are tightly focused. One is by Tim Bird from Sony Corporation. Bird plans to talk about how to improve Android’s boot-up time.

Canonical’s Matt Asay, on the other hand, is doing a much more broad presentation titled, “What’s next for Linux?”

LinuxCon will be held in Boston from August 10 to the 12th at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront. The tentative calendar of events is available here.
