Microsoft has announced that its Kubernetes on Azure Container Service (ACS) offering is no longer in preview and is now generally available. Kubernetes is a very popular open source container orchestration tool developed by Google. Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing service also supports two other options for container orchestration: DC/OS and Docker Swarm.
In addition, the company also announced that it is launching a preview of Windows Server Containers with Kubernetes. This preview will allow organizations to experiment with using Kubernetes for Windows containers as well as Linux containers.
