In a recent blog post, Microsoft announced, “Our Windows SDK 2.0 is now available for the Kinect v2 sensors, and developers can commercially deploy Kinect apps in the Windows Store for the first time.” The new SDK includes 200 changes to the most recent public preview. The blog added that Microsoft is “seeing a lot of interest from businesses to bring interactive experiences to their customers that allow people to interact naturally with technology by simply gesturing and speaking.”

In addition, Microsoft has launched a new adaptor that can make the Kinect sensor from the Xbox One compatible with Windows. It costs $49.99 and will be available in 41 regions.
