JFrog has announced that it has raised $50 million in venture capital from investors that included Scale Venture Partners, Sapphire Ventures, Battery Ventures, Vintage Investment Partners, Qumra Capital, Gemini Israel Ventures and VMware. In the past, the company had raised $10.5 million in two earlier funding rounds.
The company is known for its open source, cross-platform software distribution tools, which also come in paid commercial and enterprise versions. Its two main tools are JFrog Bintray and JFrog Artifactory. Its customers include Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, Cisco, VMware, Netflix and MasterCard.
