Mobile developers who want to post a new or updated app to the App Store before Christmas better hurry. Apple will stop accepting submissions to the App Store on Thursday, December 22, and the process will remain shut down for eight days.
Because many people will receive iPads or iPhones for the holidays and will want to download apps right away, the end of December is a critical time period for developers. “There’s a mad scramble for developers,” said Marc Edwards of Australian app maker Bjango. “In terms of money, it can be a really big deal.”
