Apple allows only 100 people to test iOS apps in production, and those 100 testers must be pre-registered with Apple ahead of time. However, some mobile development firms have found creative ways around the limitations. For example, Instagram registered for a second developer account so that it could have another 100 testers.
Developer DoubleDutch Inc. tried another approach. It contracted with Pieceable Software Inc. to create a Web-based version of its app. Although those Web-based apps can’t access all of a mobile device’s features, they can be helpful for testing purposes.
