Intel has made several announcements related to its Internet of Things (IoT) platform. During the IoT Insights event, it rolled out a new reference architecture, new Quark processors, a free cloud computing-enabled version of Linux, a new cloud suite from Wind River and new IoT analytics capabilities through its Trusted Analytics Platform (TAP).
In addition, several Intel customers, including Levi Strauss & Co. and Honeywell, demonstrated prototype solutions based on the Intel technology. Intel also announced that SAP is the first company to bring new products based on the Intel IoT platform to market.
