Open source lobbyists and experts in India are criticizing the government’s proposed plan to adopt open technology standards and software.

The Economic Times acquired a leaked copy of the most recent proposal from an anonymous source.

If implemented, Singh reported that the Chairman of the Free Software Foundation of India Dr G Nagarajan said the government’s plan would not favor open standards.
