UK-based recruiting firm Adzuna has published a new report that finds that jobs requiring Ruby, Hadoop and HTML5 skills have increased 70 percent in the past year. The programming skill with the highest demand was HTML, but that was also the lowest paid skill.

On the other end of the spectrum, C and C++ coding jobs offer the highest starting pay on average. Mobile development jobs also pay well, particularly for those who are just starting out in their careers.
