At HPE’s Discover event, the company unveiled a new hybrid cloud as a service offering that will be part of its GreenLake cloud computing platform. “Most customers ended up with a hybrid cloud strategy mostly by accident, and it’s complicated,” said Ric Lewis, senior vice president and general manager of HPE’s Software-Defined and Cloud Group. The GreenLake Hybrid Cloud service creates processes for managing hybrid cloud environments and then actually handles day-to-day management for customers.
GreenLake also offers infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and workload as a service solutions.
At the same event, HPE announced new branch office capabilities available through its Aruba business unit.
