The tech industry has a new unicorn. DevOps tool vendor HashiCorp has closed a $100 million round of venture funding based on a valuation of $1.9 billion. Key investors include IVP, Bessemer Venture Partners, GGV Capital, Mayfield, Redpoint Ventures and True Ventures. In all, HashiCorp has raised $179 million in capital.
HashiCorp is known for its open source tools like Terraform, Vault and Nomad, which simplify management of cloud computing environments. They are popular with enterprise application development teams adopting a DevOps approach.
