Programmer Chris Simpkins has posted the 2. 0 version of Hack, a typeface designed for writing source code, to SourceFoundry.org and GitHub. Designed to be “highly legible,” Hack makes it easy to spot the differences between 0 and O, 1 and l, Z and 2, and other commonly mistaken character sets, even when they are very small.
On Twitter, Simpkins noted that the update offers “new open type features, changes in weights, significant changes in spacing, Powerline glyphs, and more.”
Hack is freely available under an open source license.
