GroundWork Open Source Announces New SUSE-Powered Virtual Appliance for Systems and Network Management

Today GroundWork Open Source released its latest version of Enterprise Quickstart. Enterprise Quickstart is a bundled software package that includes the GroundWork Monitor Enterprise software with a fully supported SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 from Novell.

It’s a virtual appliance for monitoring networks and devices. For an annual fee of $49, GroundWork’s Monitor Enterprise can keep tabs on up to 100 devices. It’s powered by a Nagios event engine, which can monitor servers, desktops, laptops and network devices.

The bundled SUSE Linux by Novell is a fully supported and licensed version of Linux.

“SUSE Linux Enterprise is one of the most popular platforms on which to run Ground-Work Monitor and previous virtual appliances accounted for 40 percent of downloads,” said GroundWords Senior Director Marketing and Business Development David Dennis.
