At its annual I/O development conference, Google made a host of announcements of interest to developers, particularly those involved in mobile development. It unveiled a beta release of Android P, as well as numerous APIs for adding artificial intelligence (AI) features to apps. It also added AI capabilities to Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Photos.
In addition, the company debuted changes to Android Development Studio, including visual navigation editing tools and a Snapshots tool. It launched some new tools related to Material Design, and it made Instant Apps available to all game developers.
