Google has released version 1.1 of its Dart programming language, an alternative to JavaScript. According to the company, Dart 1.1 performed 25 percent faster than Dart 1.0 on benchmarks. It also now outperforms JavaScript.
Dart 1.1 includes a number of improvements, such better debugging, code completion and tooltips. In addition, the language has new features like support for large files, support for UDP, file copying, process signal handlers, and terminal information.
