Last month Google bought Instantiations, a company that builds developer tools. This week, Google has announced they’re going to give away many of the Instantiation products for free.

“We’re happy to announce today that we’re relaunching the following former Instantiations products under the Google name and making them available to all developers at no charge,” Google developer team member Bruce Johnson announced.

Instantiations is known for it’s focus on Eclipse Java developer tools, so it’s not a surprise that Google would just give them away from free. If more people use Eclipse to develop applications that run on Google’s Android, Chrome OS, or whatever, that’s more developers brought into the Google fold.

While the tools are free, they aren’t yet open source.
