Google has unveiled its first developer preview of the next version of Android, which is currently known as Android O. This time around, only developers with a Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel, Pixel XL or Pixel C device can take it for a test drive. The company says that after more testing by mobile development pros, it will release another version of Android O through its Android Beta program.
Key features in Android O include notification channels, picture-in-picture mode, multi-display support, keyboard navigation, background limits (meant to improve battery life), improved wi-fi capabilities and better interoperability for calling apps.
