Google has released a new Android development guide called “The Secrets to App Success on Google Play.” The company notes, “Developing an app or game and distributing it on Google Play is a good start, but it’s only the first step to building a sustainable business.” The new guide offers advice and tips for improving app quality, discoverability, engagement and monetization.
Experts say the guide doesn’t offer a lot of ground-breaking new information, but it does collect a lot of best practices in one place.
According to Google, it paid out more than $5 billion last year to developers with apps on Google Play.
