Google Releases Android 5.1 “Lollipop”

Google has officially released Android 5.1 (codenamed Lollipop) without a lot of fanfare. The update includes mostly minor improvement, such as the return of silent mode, better system stability, improved RAM management, better battery management, bug fixes for the “OK Google” function and bug fixes for some sudden app closures.

For now, only Nexus device owners will have access to the update. Mobile development firms should expect that other devices will begin to get the update in the coming months.
