The Google Play app store has passed another milestone: 25 billion app downloads. It passed 20 billion downloads in June, which means that Android users are currently downloading 1.5 billion to 1.7 billion apps every month. Google also announced that its mobile platform currently has about 675,000 apps available.
To celebrate, Google is putting a number of popular Android apps on sale for 25 cents.
By comparison, Apple currently has 700,000 apps in its App Store, and it announced that it passed 30 billion app downloads in June.
