Google has started rolling out a new version of its Google Play app store to Android users. The update has been redesigned to feature larger images that “jump off the page” and to make it easier to find content. Categories of items, like books, apps, movies, etc. are grouped together, and Google continues to offer recommendations.
The company says it has also simplified the checkout process, so that purchasing is much quicker. That should be good news for the mobile development industry because a faster checkout process makes it more likely that users will complete their purchases.
