Google Offers Startups $100K in Cloud Credits

In the latest salvo in the cloud computing wars, Google has launched a new program to go after startups. Google Cloud Platform for Startups will offer young companies $100,000 worth of credit that can be used to purchase Google cloud services. In a blog post, the company explained, “This offer supports our core Google Cloud Platform philosophy: we want developers to focus on code; not worry about managing infrastructure.”

The offer is available through “top incubators, accelerators and investors.” In order to qualify, startups must have been in business for less than five years and generate less than $500,000 in revenue each year.
