For the tenth year in a row, Google is sponsoring its Summer of Code program that pairs students with open source projects. Interested young people are invited to submit applications between now and March 21. Those who participate will receive a $5,500 stipend from Google (plus a $500 fee for the project they work on), as well as invaluable coding experience.
In 2013, 1,200 students participated in Summer of Code. Google hope to increase that by 10 percent this year.
