In his Google+ profile, Google’s Sundar Pichai announced that the company’s annual developer conference, Google I/O, will be held June 25-26 at Moscone West in San Francisco. No word yet on which topics the event will cover.

One big change for this year’s I/O is that Google will be moving to a lottery-style signup process. In years past, the event sold out within minutes, so anyone who wanted to attend had to be ready as soon as registration opened. More details about the new process will be announced in March. For now, Pichai explained, “We’ll be implementing a new system, where you can submit your interest to attend Google I/O 2014. Successful applicants will then be randomly selected and notified shortly thereafter.”
