Google Delays Android Wear 2.0 Until Next Year

If you’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of Android Wear 2.0, you’re going to have to wait a little longer. Google has announced that it won’t update the wearable operating system until 2017.

However, mobile development firms interested in creating apps for the platform should download the third developer preview for Android Wear 2.0, which Google released on Thursday.

The biggest new feature in the update is that it provides access to the Google Play store. In addition, watch apps no longer have to be tied to a smartphone.
