Google has made two interesting announcements related to its cloud computing services. First, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) has been certified to run SAP HANA databases and many SAP enterprise applications. The two companies say this marks the beginning of a closer partnership between Google and SAP. Google also says it is working to integrate SAP’s cloud computing tools with G Suite.
Second, Google has purchased Kaggle, a community devoted to machine learning and data science. Kaggle hosts competitions related to machine learning and boasts more than 800,000 users. The platform will reportedly become part of Google Cloud but will continue operating as a distinct entity.
