Google has purchased Velostrata, an Israel-based company that offers tools for simplifying the process of migrating to public cloud computing environments. According to Eyal Manor, Google vice president of engineering, the acquisition “will add to our broad portfolio of migration tools to support enterprises in their journey to the cloud.” He added, “That way, businesses can simplify their onboarding process to Google Cloud Platform, and easily migrate workloads to Google Compute Engine.”
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Velostrata’s employees will move into Google’s Tel Aviv office.
