GitHub Launches Marketplace for Development Tools

At its Satellite 2017 conference in London, GitHub announced GitHub marketplace, a new online store where developers can buy various development tools. According to the company, about 60 percent of enterprises already use a third-party tool that integrates with GitHub. The new marketplace will make it easier for these organizations to buy and manage those tools.

In related news, GitHub also announced that its GraphQL API is now production-ready. An alternative to REST APIs, the GraphQL API can speed app performance on slow networks.
