Source code hosting site GitHub has analyzed its data to find the key trends dominating open source development for 2018. It has identified the 100 projects with the biggest increases in contributors, the 100 projects with the most visitors and the 100 projects with the most new stars last year. Based on those lists, the company believes that three trends will be particularly important this year: cross-platform/Web development, deep learning and new skills.
In a blog post, the company added that 24 million people from nearly 200 countries used its services last year.
