In another sign of the growing importance of in-vehicle computing, Ford has announced that it will hold a developer conference this June in its hometown of Dearborn, Michigan. This will be the first event of its kind hosted by an automaker.
At the event, developers will be able to test some of Ford’s development tools, like its beta SDK. “Driving toward an industry standard, and taking steps that give developers direct access to the tools and technical experts to be successful, are just the latest examples of our commitment to lead in development of the truly connected car,” said Ford’s Raj Nair.
Early registration is available on Ford’s developer program website.
