In its latest report on the state of the mobile development industry, app analytics vendor Flurry found that smartphone users now spend 2 hours and 42 minutes using their devices on an average day. That’s an increase from 2 hours, 38 minutes in March of 2013. Users spend 86 percent of that time using native apps and just 14 percent on the mobile Web; that’s a change from 80 percent apps and 20 percent mobile Web a year ago.
Breaking out that app usage by category, games remain the most popular with 32 percent of users’ time, followed by Facebook with 17 percent and the browser with 14 percent.
