The nightly build of the Firefox browser now includes an integrated development environment (IDE) for the creation of HTML5 apps and websites. Called WebIDE, the new tool supports the creation of responsive apps for desktop and mobile devices.
WebIDE includes a code editor and an interface for managing runtimes and validation applications. In the future, Mozilla hopes to integrate WebIDE with the Firefox Remote Debugging Protocol to simplify testing of HTML5 apps.
Mozilla plans to incorporate WebIDE in the regular release build of Firefox over the coming months.
