Large tech companies continue to ingest artificial intelligence (AI) startups; this time, it’s Facebook buying London-based Bloomsbury AI. The firms did not officially reveal the purchase price, but it is believed to be between $23 and $30 million. It is also believed that Facebook will deploy Bloomsbury AI’s team and technology in its efforts to combat “fake news.”
In other Facebook news, the company is adding more API restrictions that will impact what developers can do with users’ data. The firm is also shutting down some APIs.
