Facebook product manager Simon Cross has announced that Facebook app developers need to update their apps to use Graph API 2.0 by April 30. On that date, the social network will begin automatically updating all apps to the new login and updated version of Graph API. “We strongly recommend upgrading by these methods, rather than waiting for the automatic upgrade,” blogged Cross, “as this gives you more control over when people start seeing changes in your app.”
Facebook introduced Graph API 2.0 in April 2014 and warned developers that they had a year to update. The company says that many developers have already made the switch.
