The mobile version of Facebook has quietly added a “Find Apps” feature that takes users to an entire feed of app install and engagement ads. It includes 25 ads that each feature a photo, icon, description, rating and install button. Users can refresh the list to see more ads if they like.
When asked about the new feed, Facebook said, “We’re always looking for ways to help people discover apps that are relevant for them, as well as opportunities for advertisers to reach these people, so we’re exploring a few new places to surface apps we think people will be interested in.”
Mobile development firms with ads in the new feed are paying the same fees they do for ads elsewhere on Facebook.
