The Eclipse Foundations has said that it has received 100 percent of the components for Jakarta EE (formerly known as Java EE) and the GlassFish application server from Oracle. In addition, those components have been published in the foundation’s GitHub repositories.
The Eclipse Foundation agreed to take over management of the open source project about a year ago. Oracle, IBM, Payara, Red Hat and Tomitribe have agreed to fund Jakarta EE development for three years, with each organization contributing between $25,000 and $300,000 per year.
