Eclipse Che IDE Expands Support for Docker, Language Server Protocol, OpenShift

The Eclipse Foundation has announced that Che 5.0, the next version of its cloud development IDE, will have support for Docker, Language Server Protocol and Red Hat’s OpenShift cloud application platform. The update will support containerization through a feature called Docker Compose Workspaces, and Che will also be available through the Docker Store. In addition, Docker has joined the Eclipse Foundation and will work on the Che project.

Through the Language Server Protocol, Che 5.0 will support JSON, C#, Java and PHP, and it will soon also support Go, Python, JavaScript, and Typescript.

Che already had an OpenShift plugin, and the new version can run also run on OpenShift.
