Freelance job placement firm Toptal has released a new report on demand for various development skills. According to the firm, demand for Swift developers climbed 600 percent during 2015, making it the fastest-rising skill. HTML was second with 267 percent growth, followed by C++ (244 percent) and CSS (239 percent).
A separate study by InMobi found that Java is still the most popular language in the mobile development industry, followed by JavaScript and Objective-C. In that survey, 18 percent of mobile developers reported using Swift.
